Not that polls matter more than winning, but it is intriguing to figure out who will be #12.

It appears the top 11 will include Ohio St, Oregon, Boise St., TCU, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Auburn, Utah, Alabama, Arkansas, and LSU.

But who is #12???
#9 Arizona lost at home to an unranked Oregon St.
#13 Miami lost, no chance
#14 Florida lost, no chance
#15 Iowa did not play
#16 Stanford beat USC
#17 Michigan State WON over Michigan
#18 Michigan lost, no chance
#19 South Carolina beat #1 Alabama (probably #12)
#20 and down, no chance moving up above #17.

So, it will be South Carolina, Stanford, Michigan State, Iowa, and Arizona bunched at #12-16, just not sure what order.

My guess in order:

South Carolina (beat #1)
Michigan State (beat big name undefeated at their house)
Stanford (people still believe USC is the USC of old and that puts them ahead of us)
Iowa
Arizona (lost to unranked at home)

People will look at MSU's schedule and go geez these guys could go undefeated. Watch for a big jump.

Also remember, BCS shows up for the first time this week. Don't be surprised if you see Iowa lower in the BCS than the human polls. The resume took a monster hit yesterday.

Agree that MSU may see a jump this week. However, the first BCS show is tonight on ESPN, but the 17th is the first BCS rankings.

BCS standings to be released Sundays on ESPN - ESPN
