with all these live stream games we are gona need a quality live streamer! are all of the noncons not on tv In the first month or so because I can afford 14 amonth for a little while
 
Good post, I hope someone comes up with an acceptable site. Last year, BigD found a site to watch the Paradise Jam games. I checked the BTN live game streaming and found no Iowa Men's Basketall games listed. Quite a few Women's games and if you are an Ohio State or Wisconsin fan, there are a lot of games available.
 
To me it isn't about being able to afford the service. It is about being bent over and paying for a crap service. So, no I am not...
 
I'm going to stream games thru Hawkeyesports.....its cheaper and I don't care that much about other schools.
 
Am definitly gonna stream, thought BTN.com was going to carry all the games.....NO.??? any info would be great thanks in advance. no way I can wait 6 or seven games in to see this team.

I'm just guessing here but with non of the Men's games listed and if I were the PR director at Mediacom and just paid a crap load on cash to help the hawks finish the remodel I'm getting some of the non-con games for my cable station!! Not sure how the contracts work with BTN but they might just make it happen.

Good point, Mediacom could very well televise the games on their own channel, 22 in DM. They do some of the Drake games in DM. Hope it happens, especially because I have Mediacom.
 
And that will be the first time i will have regretted getting rid of mediacom... so who is going to have me over to there place so i can watch the games???

Not sure if they are as good with basketball as they are football. Not always the best quality, but it is certainly better than nothing. I have been able to stream any NCAA or NFL game I want.

You are talking about games where they are being broadcast for free in their markets. Expanding the coverage on the internet is only going to increase viewers, which is better for the advertisers...
The greedy BTN will shut down the streamers, just as they have done in the past, for most of the games. Although not all, as we know some make it thru. Thanks to all that have shared...!

Mediacom is picking up the games that the BTN is not, But the BTN.com is carrying. So no reason to stream, unless you don't have Mediacom, can't go to your buddies or are living outside their market. That is all good.

The ones that have me boiling are most of the beginning, 5 of 6(not sure how many past that, but there Are some additional games), which are on Gamewatch's link. You have to pay to stream those games.

So, to watch the beginning of the season you have to pay to stream, which I cannot do at the moment. Great way to show your team when they are winning, we should win all those. Great way to promote your team to everyone that might be interested in the Hawks...
Crap, and I forgot about the announcers! Will it be university students? Who are you going to get to do it for next to nothing? I'll probably miss all of the games, so it won't matter. But..



Someone please tell me how this benefits Iowa Basketball?!?. I certainly do NOT see any benefit by a few diehard fans paying to watch the team... If anything it is the opposite! We are missing an opportunity to show our team. Why not a free stream with advertising, then have Mediacom or Sinclair or whoever show the games. Just like BTN.com games???

There is some greedy intention/experiment in all of this in trying get the maxium $$ out of us fans, there has to be, but I'd don't see how it is helping Iowa Hawkeye Basketball....
 
I just hope Mediacom brushes up on their production as most of the games on MC-22 are lacking in the production value.
 
I tried to subscribe to the BTN so I could stream. They advertise if you want only your school it is 9.95. The only option I could get was the 14.95 one.
