The North Florida coach gave the Hawks the best advice with his post game interview. It's likely they'd already heard it from the coaching staff, but to hear it from someone outside the program was badly needed.

Now, will they keep being mentally tough when a shot doesn't fall or call doesn't go their way? Only time will tell.

But make no mistake, the NF coach gave the Hawks a big gift and now they have to use that gift the remainder of the season.

This team kinda reminds me of one of Mr. Davis's teams that would end up being a #8 seed. Not super talented but ran his system well, scrappy, etc. Those teams would get blown out be supremely athletic teams like ISU but would do enough to make the dance.

OSU and UNC are both more athletic than ISU, at least when we played them.

What is lacking for Ohio State is that big power center and with out that they are just an average B1G team.

Amir Williams is one of if not the biggest guy in the conference.

I think zoning iowa is the wrong way to play you guys especially with good athletes like OSU has. Offensive rebounding and the guys on the baseline killed OSU in this game.

With Iowa's shooting history this season, why would you NOT play a zone? You need to play a zone and keep White off the boards... unless they shoot like they did today. We've had open looks all season yet have only shot the 3 somewhat consistently today.

I agree that tOSU has good athletes. If I were Matta I wouldn't even consider playing a zone - man-to-man all game all over, like the old Arkansas "40 minutes of hell". They can go deep enough to keep pressure up all game all over the court.
