White needs to take some jumpers to open his drives. defenses arent playing him to shoot and he needs to make just one of every 3 Three pointers to be effective, maybe
The hawks seem guard and forward focused on offense so I dont expect Woody and Gabe to get a lot of iso plays in the half court.
But that was a pretty low output

He needs to learn to have that in his game or he is too easy to take out of the game by sagging off and not fouling him on his drives.

He needs to add that to his arsenal, yes. But he doesn't have it right now, and missing jumpers isn't going to make the defense stop guarding the drive.

Woodbury didn't play bad; the other two...I thought Gabe and Woodbury did what they needed to do from their position scoring. Where I was disappointed with both of them was on the glass and defense overall.

He can hit them inside the 3-pt line; why he can't get on the elbow for that shot is beyond me.

Agreed but he has to at least attempt one or 2 a game to keep them honest. He didn't even look to shoot outside today and tried forcing the drive when it wasn't there.

When he takes them he hits; stay inside the 3-pt line and take what is given, he has show he can hit it, but he doesn't take enough and tries to force a drive to get to the FT line.

As a Freshman he would shoot from the top of the circle most often and he had one of the quickest "square and shoot" moves I have seen. Now, when he does take one, he is usually on the wing and aims the ball for what seems like an eternity.
1) woody shouldn't be lumped in here because he played very well.
2) white needs to play the 4 so he can't be taken out of the half court game so easily.
3) McCabe struggled but he was put in a rough spot because of 2 reasons.
reason #1 - Fran put him in a spot he isn't built for
reason #2 - basabe being sick meant minutes had to be split up and McCabe had to play more.

MIA: White again.
White needs a left hand about as bad as a jumper. All those drives to the left where he awkwardly tries to shoot it back across his body with his right hand are getting old. Needs to be more physical too, sometimes looking for a foul too early instead of finishing strong. McCabe just outmatched today. Woody played fine, he didn't hurt us.
