Which scenerio gives us best BCS title game chance?

Seriously though, if Iowa goes 8-0 to win the Big Ten, I honestly think there is about a 25% chance we will play in the national title game. Losing in September, Texas losing a non-conference game and the Hawks having the SOS boost of not playing Illinois or Purdue will be huge come December.

I still somehow don't like all this talk this early. How many games could we have lost last year?

I'm for talking about Penn State and if the team takes care of business we can talk about this stuff at the end of the year.

Yes, there is little that any team could do to look more impressive than back to back wins at 9-0 NW and against 10-0 OSU. There is a chance that could happen, and it would be huge.

I don't understand the mindset that it's over. It's unlikely but one loss teams have made it before and when they do it's usually because they lost early. If it makes college football more enjoyable I don't see the downside of thinking National Championship.

let's not forget there are still a lot of other undefeated teams out there such as Nebraska and Oklahoma from the B12. I can see one of them going undefeated, because let's face it that the B12 is horrible this year. Also let's not forget about Oregon and Stanford in the Pac10....if there are any other undefeated schools from a BCS conference we will get left out regardless. Now if there is only 1 unbeaten (not counting Boise St. and TCU) we would have a legitimate shot at making the NC because our loss would be earlier than everyone else's.
