Which line up are you most excited to see?

So you've deduced that I don't know a thing or two about basketball how???

If you knew much, you'd know that Jok's recruitment was heavily impacted by his injury. Just because top schools backed off doesn't mean he isn't going to be a good player. By all accounts, he's on his way to reaching the level he was before the injury. But the Kansas/UNC/Duke types don't have to wait on a guy like that.

But go ahead, just keep spouting "got him over Drake" and lashing out an anyone who calls you out for your ignorance.

Do not directly engage the troll. Just make fun of him and move on.

Suuuuure, those schools have never recruited a player recovering from an injury....

Jok's just not that good. Be sad about it, dicksucker, but I prefer reality.

Recovering from a major knee injury? Yeah, they aren't going to take that flyer very often. Not when they can just go get an Andrew Wiggins or John Wall.

But since your only point to support your idea of "reality" is that Drake was Jok's best offer, take a look at this.

Best offer during recruitment
Devyn Marble: Providence
Melsahn Basabe: Sienna
Aaron White: Northwestern

Those guys must all suck, too.

No, they are amazing. They went .500 in the Big Ten and had an amazing run in the NIT before running into a buzz saw named Baylor. Pretty awesome team!

Not trolling, just saying that we need to put expectations in check. We might not be the world beaters some of us think we are. I'm not on the Fire Fran bandwagon yet, but anything less than a deep run in the Tournament this year (sweet 16 at least) and I'll have some serious doubt about his ability to get the right guys to win.

So why don't you let other people set their own expectations and actually wait and see what happens on the floor before you start being a Debbie Downer.

Troll.

Do not engage a troll......only make fun of a troll, and troll him back

Because we're returning a team of mostly juniors who were only able to make the NIT who likely won't improve that much this year. And we're adding a transfer who hasn't played in two years and Jok.

There's a reason we're not ranked despite all of that. And next year? Woof. It's troubling.

Booger Presley? Troll?

Oh I see, we simply aren't going to improve. As if people needed any more evidence that you're a complete moron.

Seriously, if your'e going to troll, get better at it.

We aren't going to improve THAT much!

Think about it--why aren't we ranked? We have a known commodity, with a lot of veterans...and we're still not ranked? Probably because nobody can improve THAT much from one year to the next. Especially from JR to SR.

Lamar? That you?

Baylor went from losing the NIT finals to the Elite Eight in one year, and made that improvement with guys who were already on the roster. They were 5-11 in the Big 12 in 2008-09. They entered 2009-10 almost exactly in the same position we're in (they were ranked 28th and 29th in the major polls, we're 29th in both). They went 11-5 the following year. It can be and has been done.
