Where you'all sitting this year?

I've been in section 108, row 53 for two years. Took the opportunity to move down twenty rows today to row 33, with basically the same seats inwards. It'll be interesting to see if I like it that close....I've usually sat in row 50+. What say ye?

I was in row 25 for years....intense but not the greatest view. I went as high as 55, which was a great field view. Settled in to 42...perfect. Not far from the entrance tunnel, good field vision, but still close enough to catch the energy.

I think it's all personal preference...they all have their pluses.

I'm on the reclining chair about 9 feet from the TV set. I have a good view of the action but a really terrible view of the field from here. Moving backwards or forwards is really inconvenient and doesn't really gain me much. The entry into the kitchen is immediately behind me and the refrigerator right there. I have to walk about 15 feet to pee and very rarely is there a line.

Damn it. You stole my thunder. Was going to put the same thing. Where's that thumbs down button Jon?

Get a bigger screen that helps with the view of the field. The HD channels can make you feel like you are on the field. When you come back through the kitchen grab a cold one out of the fridge for me.

Thinking about moving to 1 of the end zones. Anyone have ideas on whether north or south would be better?
Sir...I was in section 138 for two years. The key is to get seats rows 40 or higher. That way you can see just about everything. I know folks in both endzones, up a bit higher, and they like it. No fee zone to boot!

I have been in the south endzone for years and absolutely love it. With my priority I could be on the 30 on the east side, but will not move my two season tickets. The leg room in the south is absolutely luxurious! The seats are even (Maybe?) a bit wider. I have been in the north endzone and until they remodel it, I would not choose to sit there. Its easy to get to concessions, rest rooms, and you can roam around on the patio (above the band) and on the concourse on the east side. The concession/rest room area under the stands is very large. No, the U of I is not paying me for this advertisement. I am in row 26, section 114.

Finally got to renew today and moved over one section to 103. Row 43. Great home schedule this year.

After 11 yrs of getting up at 4:45am to get down and set up camp we decided to give up our season tickets.North endzone renovation didn't come soon enough just had knee replacement so will tailgate at home.We will miss all of our Hawkeye friends and watching band and team coming out onto the field but will always be in front of a tv watching our beloved team.Money saved means more bowl trips.Go Hawks

When reseating took place in 2005 I got seats in the 1st row behind the Iowa bench where the QBs were. Loved those seats. Even though didn't have high vantage point, when the teams are close they are close. Being a tall person the leg room was awesome. No one in front of you to try to keep ones knees out of their back. yes, there is the standing up for most of the game but I don't care about that. Kids that went loved the closeness and having Herky come by and meet him/her. During the last reseating I maintained row 1 seats on Iowa side but they are no longer directly behind the bench so I maintained the leg room. And when the teams are toward the end where we sit, man is it great. Would not trade them. Would have stayed in prior seats if I could but someone had taken them with a higher point total. Assume it was a scalper as never saw the same people seating in them from game to game. For now would never consider sitting at home and not being there in rain or cold like Purdue last year or hotter than hell. And the run up to the games would never be the same sitting at home. I understand those that cannot afford it or have medical issues or are driving long distance. Thankfully none of that impacts me now so I am able to go. Will be even better when they expand the playoff field.

Remodeling the entire basement right now and will have a 3 TV set up and theater style seats to watch the games on. Spending the money on that this year, might go to a couple games but excited to get the man cave done! Taking donations of Baseball Memorabilia to decorate with :) I need a couple HOFer Jerseys to hang up.

Been in both,South has more room to sit however usually have wind in your face and 10-15 degrees colder than the North.Wants they redo the North it would be the better choice IMO,you have the sun in your face and the wind to your back, just need more leg room.Endzone seats are the best, you can see the whole field and usually you don't have some idiot standing the whole game in front of you.

going from section 102 to section 136. North endzone and per Seth's instructions, in the 49th row with 1st and 2nd seats in the row. looking forward to a new vantage point and another fun filled year of tailgating and Hawk football!
