I'd argue the BCS gets it right most of the time...BUT the ultimate would be a 8 team BCS playoff...or a 32 team NCAA tournament in March.

College football is the sport that does it best as far as determining champion and the best team in sports. It's post season is also the least fun out of any major sport (though it may have the beat regular season as well)
The other thing is though, wouldn't a first round loss in a 32 team make the regular season just as worthless? A series would be better as far as determining a best team in college hoops but that's not what makes this tourny fun.

32 Team is not right. These other teams deserve a chance. Every year there are a couple of teams that make it far that shouldn't and would have never had a chance with out the current set up.

That's what I'm saying though...there is NO way VCU was one of the best 4 teams last season...nice story...but not one of the top teams.

It's usually the team that is hottest...not the "best" or most talented. I'm just saying the Madness is fun but it doesn't name the best team in the NCAA champion.

I'm glad the NCAA does it this way and the NBA plays a series. A series setup would not work in the NCAA.

That's why the NBA playoffs are not near as fun as the NCAA. However, the NBA does find the best overall team.
