When I read through threads like this one, I begin to think that there are a lot of people that need to think about the kinds of people that they are or have become - are you like that in "real life" because if you are, you probably have a pretty lonely existence. There's many people on here that are either idiots or a$$holes - maybe both. I don't know if you think you're being cleaver, or cute or funny, but most of you are none of the above - you're just an irritant that people that want real information have to step over to get it. You're like gum on the bottom of a shoe - a gnat flying around your ear.


A guy comes on a football message board and asks a legitimate question about a former Iowa football player and he gets all of these smartass responses. It'd be interesting if there was a board that wasn't anonyomous (or free) - would the converstaion be more thoughtful and useful? Maybe a lot of you just need to grow up.....

Despite how lonely and irritating I am, I still don't think "Where is James Ferentz" is a "legitimate question".

Also, trying to use symbols to get around the profanity filter is a bannable offense. I hate coming onto these forums and seeing wiseguys like you try and spit your potty language all over the place. This is a family website that children read, but we keep getting guys like you who can't control their curse words. I think this place would have more thoughtful and useful conversation if guys like you, who obviously have a limited vocabulary, would find somewhere else to post.

Man, somebody is pretty sensitive and obviously butt hurt. There are these ignore functions available, or other websites out there that are available. I agree that some posters around here are stupid and childish, but I don't cry about it.

LOL...Who's crying - it's a simple observation my friend. That's exactly the types of responses that I thought I would get. I am a little disappointed that it took three posts to get the term "butt-hurt" though.

I suppose most of the sensible posters are busy working right now and there may be a few more positive comments later on. Me? I'm home with a sick child today.

When I post something on the boards I really don't expect any type of answer because usually it's all kinds of stuff. If I read something that might answer a question it's great if I don't it doesn't matter. Everybody's different. It's no different in the fact that what I post rubs people the wrong way sometimes. I've read a few things when I post stuff about ISU that people wish I would get off it. It's a message board, everybody's entitled to post anything they want. With that said I say to all, post on!

What I actually wanted to know was whether or not James Ferentz tried out to play in the NFL. Where he is today doesn't really matter to me. I have to put a little more thought into my thread titles since many of them have been misleading.
