What I find complete amazing about his blocks is the way he control his body. He's clean on all those blocks and those blocks are all above the rim. That's truly amazing.
I'm still so impressed with Lickliter recruiting him. I didn't expect this sort of thing from May. He's just sick out there.

At the end of the year IMO he should be freshman of the year in the Big Ten period. He might win D player of the year but his overall game is so good I dont know if you can limit him to a specialty award winner. He probably does deserve it though.

I really thought May outplayed Turner tonight (Big Ten Network considers Turner one of the best players in the country).
Iowa might surprise some people next year if Lickliter can fill in some pieces.

IMO, Turner is the best player in the nation.
He was my preseason POTY, and he's come a long way since his injury.
Look at this way, Iowa pretty much throttled him all game and he goes for 14, 12, and 7. That's pretty awesome.
I think May outplayed him as well.
AND, Cully schooled him on that drive and foul.

What I love is the intensity in which he and many of the other guys are playing with but as many have said, the upside on both May (and Cougill IMO) are tremendous. By this time next year, I am going to say that May is able to take is man with either hand (much like Gatens last year he tends to only feel comfortable going to his right). Additionally, he will continue to develop that sixth sense on when to jump for the block and when to stay down and take a charge but if I had to guess he won't get serious media hype until his junior year after the program is winning more regularly.

I assume you guys are not considering Little Lick because he probably won't leave early. But obviously any fool can see that when it comes to NBA potential...Little Lick is the best player in the country. He's been a little bit handcuffed by the system that the Hawks have been running...but if he were in more of a run-n-gun system he'd be lighting it up.
I love May's game but he will not be frosh of the year in the league. He will make all-frosh team,tho, just like Matt last year.
May might have a shot at def.POY when Damian Johnson and Kramer exit stage left at the end of this year...altho if Al Nolen comes back next year, he probably locks it down...but by year 3....May might be the guy.
As for Evan Turner...probably 3rd at best behind Wall and Favors in the draft...Cousins might factor in there with Wes Johnson also.
