When was the last time we had solid guard play?

I am strugglign to remember the last respectable backcourt combo at Iowa. Geez, year 2 of Cartwright, before that Cully and before that was it Jermaine Davis, Anthony Tucker, Lil Lick, a year of Kelly.

Peterson/Freeman/Johnson was ok.

Those are best PG Iowa has had in my time of watching Iowa bball. They could all create off the bounce.

I never thought of Horner to be as good as these three since he was not a play maker like them. He put up good assist numbers since he played from day 1 but I don't really think of Horner when I think of great Iowa PG.

Those 3 were studs.. takes me back to elementary/middle school days . LOVED Woolridge.

Id say the last solid group of guards Iowa really had was Horner, Haluska and Henderson.

Not flashy but compared to this team they look like the Miami Heat.

Man... those of you going back to dean and andre and skipping over horner are just wrong. I dont mean to compare these guys as individual players but we were a 3 seed in the tourney with horner running the point. Granted the season ended in a very disappointing way but you dont become a 3 seed without solid guard play.
