When did you see the skid coming?

I think for me, I became concerned during our win against Minnesota. Score looked good at the end, but we dug a pretty good hole in the first half and our lack of half court offense really jumped out at me. I remember thinking that they better get this fixed or we are going to be vulnerable. Not saying I predicted anything of this magnitude, but certainly saw reason for concern.

That being said, a win over NW and MSU this weekened would erase a lot of demons and hopefully get them on track for tourney. Confidence has to be just about nothing and I certainly understand. The talent is there.

Well considering Michigan St., Wisconsin, Michigan to some degree, and OSU all have had skids. Ours WAS the last few weeks.
Now it's time to regroup and get ready for Thursday night and shore up some of our defensive woes and have SOME FUN! It's tourney time )

Probably after the Indiana loss. I had serious doubts at that point, since they didn't exactly bounce back well from losing to Wisconsin & Minnesota.

I agree 100%. When your thrown off course even with a small deviation in your schedule it has a huge affect on your rhythm. The team was totally in sync before the freak delay. Its like taking a link out of a chain.

Agree. The rescheduling of the IU game disrupted our rythmn and flow. The home and away game ying and yang was gone. Cramming 6 games in 2 weeks....disaster was just waiting to happen.

I honestly thought the postponing of the Indiana game might be bad (not this bad though).

-We just had our "bye week", we were ready to get playing again
-struggled, but won and knocked the rust off in a trap game at PSU
-Indiana was reeling, and I think we would have won that one
-Who knows about Wisconsin, but at least we'd be on a little win streak and back in the flow

I also agree with this. Completely threw the team off its rhythm. After a couple of losses, they just never recovered.

The loss to Wisconsin was the line of demarcation for this team. The second half of the Wisky game was as good a half as Iowa played all year. Badgers made a lot of very good/clutch plays late in the shot clock and got a couple of breaks. At that point, Iowa still thought it was in contention for a conference title. After that game, the effort needed to defend just simply hasn't been there. At all. I wouldn't say that guys aren't trying, but all it takes is for one breakdown in one area and the floodgates open. Now teams come in very confident against Iowa. We give the other team some easy baskets, and all of a sudden it becomes much easier to knock down 3's or make shots at the end of the shot clock.

Season isn't over and there is still a lot to play for. We shall see if this team reacts like that, or continues to wait for something bad to happen.

I was late to the party and did not see it coming until the Indiana loss.

In retrospect, the troubles started with the Indiana postponement, although there were signs as early as the first Wisconsin loss.

The Ohio State game in Iowa City. Red flags went up when they were out toughed at home to a depleted MSU team, gave them the benefit of the doubt as "one of those nights" Then an average OSU team came in and did the same thing and I was kinda like there is a real problem here with toughness again.
