What's your starting 5 at the beginning of the B1G season?

according to Fran he will not be missed all that much, he would have been a good piece to the puzzle but is not that big of a loss, and the coaches can work with the players one on one they just can't hold team practices until Oct 15th

From now until the official start of practice, a coach can work with a player so many hours a week. During the summer they can't, in fact they can't even watch them scrimmage or play in the PTL.

people seem to be judging him on the lack of stars,at 6'10 possibly 6'11 as it has been posted on other site and listed by one recruiting sevice, as well as impressing in the one on one coaching that is allowed, he will be more than capable of playing the center spot, and this is "basketball" not the WWE OR FB, i suggest you go check out the scrimmages on saterday before the game you might actually learn something

So playing essentially pickup ball against teammates (of a team that had a not-so-good record last year) is a judge of how he will do this year against B1G competition? Really?

if he had been a 4 star recruit you probably wouldn't say a word against him, but you would automatically have a starter from day one, so get the facts straight before saying a thing, he is now up to 235, and is progressing nicely, those that have taken the time to go watch some of the kids are raving about him

Cartwright
Gatens
Marble
Basabe
Olaseni

The 5 spot is certainly a weakness, but Brommer has seemed to be comfortable coming off the bench, so keep him there. Olaseni will not need to score much, but if he can get out in transition and rebound and contest some shots, then let him grow into his position.

Actually, I absolutely would. There are tons of examples of highly rated players struggling as freshman. If he was ready to step in and compete at a high level he would have been recruited by everybody in the country. I could be wrong but I think history is very much on my side here.

since Katenda was the main player people watchec it would be easy to over look a kid that concentrated on defense and did very little scoring, the defensive kid is always overlooked when there is a scorer being watched, but think what you will in a little over 2 months we will all see for ourselves
