Not only is Iowa's passing game very basic but the coaches never adjust. And the receivers do not look like they are coached to adjust routes. When hawk qbs scramble hawk receivers rarely move straight toward the ball on comeback patterns or go long. Many times the receivers quit moving. Poor coaching of receivers when pass plays break down.
Coaches take forever to get one on one matchups that are good for hawks or ways to get receivers open in zones. Comeback patterns are hard for cornerbacks to handle as are straight fly patterns yet we do little of each.
We need a huge improvement boost in the passing game.
