What seed would the Hawks get?

So if we win 2 we're on the bubble, 3 and we're likely in, 4 and we're automatic, but what seed would the Hawks get?

Beat NW & MSU, lose to OSU ... 12?
Most say we'd be on the outside edge of bubble in this scenario. But, I think we're looking at a 12-seed and a trip to Dayton.

Beat NW & MSU, lose to PU/Neb ... Out!

----------------------------------------

Beat NW, MSU, OSU, lose to Wisc/Ill/Minn/PSU ... 12!

Beat NW, MSU, OSU, lose to IU/Mich ... 11?
We gotta be in with this scenario. We'd have 3 neutral-site wins (2 of them HQ) in the last days before selection plus a schedule strength bump from the title loss. But does it move us up at all ... I could see getting an 11-seed, maybe.

----------------------------------------

Beat NW, MSU, OSU, and Wisc/Ill/Minn/PSU ... 11!

Beat NW, MSU, OSU, and Mich ... 10.

Beat NW, MSU, OSU, and IU ... 10!

----------------------------------------

Beat NW, MSU, PU/Neb, then lose to anyone ... 12
I've heard many say we need to win 3. But if the PU/Neb winner takes out OSU, I don't know that winning 3 is any more help than winning 2. I'd feel a little more secure. I'm still thinking 12-seed, but maybe skip the trip to Dayton.

Beat NW, MSU, PU/Neb, and Wisc/Ill/Minn/PSU ... 11

Beat NW, MSU, PU/Neb, and IU/Mich ... 10?

When you're selecting an option from a finite set of choices, the grammatically correct phrasing is "Which seed would the Hawks get".

I was thinking about this earlier, here is my 2 cents:

Win 0 - NIT #3/4 seed
Win 1 - NIT #1/2 seed.
Win 2 - NCAA #12/13 seed (play in first round)
Win 3 - NCAA #10/11 seed
Win 4 - NCAA #8/9 seed

I find it unbelievable that there are people that think Iowa would get left out of the tournament if they "only" won 2 games in the BTT. Even during the bad years of the conference there has never been a 22 win team left out of the NCAA Tournament since it was expanded to 64 teams.

If Iowa were to somehow beat MSU, OSU, and Indiana I think they would be all the way up to an 8 seed. That is essentially 3 neutral court wins as good as any 3 wins in the country.

Though there are no great 1 seeds this year, I would rather be a 10 or 11 seed so that our second round game would be against a 2 or a 3 rather than a 1. Would love to see us draw the 11 in Alford's bracket with North Mexico as the 3.

who lets their kids read this board? Those parents should be banned from here.

Miller has received multiple notes from concerned parents. In addition, Miller has kids and sometimes he leaves his computer and other electronic devices that may access this site unattended. Do you want Miller's kids to read the filth you posted? I don't.

Miller and these concerned parents need to be responsible with their computers when young impressionable babies are around. Then again, if Miller thinks a banning is warranted for typing Klondick, I will gladly accept it. You seem sensitive lately, did you lose a big merger or something?

No. My fortress of solitude has been overrun with a bunch of mouthbreathers.

That made me chuckle. "Fortress of solitude," is that like a mancave? My life has been overrun by kids, not only do I have a bunch but all the neighborhood kids have chosen my house for the place to hang. Usually that is good but last night their were a good dozen kids at my house and I was tired.

I didn't ask for your life story.

If a kid these days is at a computer unsupervised, and the worst thing that happens is that they see a mis-spelled swear word, then those parents got off lightly. Someone tell Francis to relax and then tell him to shine my shoes.

This forum is available to enthusiasts of any age. It is disconcerting to me that much of the vernacular promoted in this venue is inappropriate for children and adolescents, yet there is not an age gate to restrict the contents, nor is there any labor to eliminate or suppress parlance that would offend all but the most juvenile.
