What must it feel like to be an Ohio State Fan?

I'm just taking it one Saturday at a time. What a season! These kids have really shook up the college football world!

For Ohio State it just goes to show how difficult it is to run the table in any league and how immensely difficult it is to repeat. OSU had a vast majority of their overwhelming talent returning from last year's team but could not replicate the chemistry and hunger to play to their potential. Everyone kept waiting for them to 'turn it on' but it never happened. They might have been better served to lose early instead of late to have an edge to play with.

For Iowa this is truly remarkable but equally stressful. I am already beyond satisfied with the season but I am actually worried more about losing because of wanting to prove the naysayers wrong than the mere fact of a loss. If you look at the top 4-6 teams we are unlike any of them in terms of program stature and high level recruiting. Truly remarkable to be in this position when you really take an objective view. It's no wonder they do not want to invite us to the party.

I have a feeling that there are a lot of college football fans out there that are pulling for Iowa because they are SICK of the entitlement programs that are always ranked high because of the Pro bias in their favor ever year. Did you notice how after the game the Purdue players were coming up a congratulating Iowa. A couple of them you could tell we saying good luck. If the shoe were on the other foot I would be pulling for Purdue to knock the stuffing out of Nebraska and the East division champs. It just gets old after a while, Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma.......... Just like the Brady Bunch.........Marsha, Marsha, Marsha....... I say to hell with Marsha!!!!!!! Ummm I mean Bama and Ohio State.

Big D has it spot on.
Fans across the country know the wonderful story of Iowa football. They appreciate hard work and dedication to play as a team. Yes, IA doesn't have four and five star high schoolers calling Kirk Ferentz to sign up, but IA DOES develop walkons, 2 and 3 star players into 4 and 5 star college players and send some to the NFL.. THAT is AWESOME!! Barry and Dan did the same at WI, a program that floundered around for decades. Some of the voices on national TV and radio want HIGH ratings so they intentionally blurt out garbage and controversial statements. There are fantastic high school players in Ohio and Texas, California, etc. IA and WI and NU all recruit, develop and coach skiils and teamwork to these guys. A bunch of superstars can be defeated if they don't buy into "team"..Our coaches know what they're going up against. So do our players. So do most of our fans. IA is NOT afraid of the challenge. They embrace it and work their butts off. This season has seen many victories for IA. Some seasons, not as many, but this program is in good hands. Iowa is a state of hard working people. U of I football players mimic it. Informed fans in the U.S. know it also and respect them. Go Hawks. Another great season.
