What is up with Tom Deinhart?

We'll see how his prediction plays out over the next 7 weeks. I agree that MSU has a lot going for them this year, and if they can get out of Kinnick with a win they are on their way to a BCS game.

What did he say that was completely out of line?

Michigan State has looked good this year, we've already lost to Arizona, and we have one experienced RB.

I don't think he said anything unreasonable.

Some of you are WAY too sensitive.

Also our OL is still a ?

Some of you are living in a fantasy land if you think its unreasonable that another Big Ten school like MSU or Wisconsin could beat us.

His criticisms are fair, you pinko sympathizer! But he also said, "I'm not a fan of Ricky Stanzi's"!

It wasn't like he was simply saying that MSU and Wisky could beat us. It was like he thinks we're complete pretenders (and if that title doesn't apply to the Badgers, I don't know if anyone should have to bear it).

+1

I also hate to even think about this, but while watching the PSU game, I couldn't help but think that Robinson looked tired the second half. With only one tested back in the stable, I definitely think fatigue could be an issue down the road.

They ran the heck out of him that game, hopefully they knew what they were doing because the game was in hand and we had the next week off. I sure hope one of the other running backs is ready to at least spell him with a few carries.

Someone gives an honest, reasonable, and informed opinion and he's automatically a tool?

He gave no explanation whatsoever for his "not being a fan of Stanzi". And it's not just his particular segment. I never thought much of either Deinhart or Hayes when they were both at TSN either.

Ok, why does that make him wrong?

Is he not allowed to not like Stanzi?

He gives no reasoning for that opinion. That's no different than saying that some team sucks, without any reasoning to back that opinion. I wouldn't expect someone to take me seriously if I said the Vikings suck and left it at that (I don't actually think that, it's just a hypothetical).

I guess the thing that surprised me about the piece he did with Eddie George, is the whole tired "Iowa doesn't have enough weapons" thing.

I have to admit that I'm really tired of hearing, and reading that Iowa never seems to have enough speed, play makers, or offensive innovation to keep up with the "big boys". Yet, you look in the NFL and on draft prospectus boards, and you see Hawkeyes past and present. Just went to the Colts/Chiefs game this weekend, and there was Clark and Moeaki running up and down the field, creating their usual mayhem (Moeaki really shined!).

His opinion that the Hawks aren't as good as MSU will play itself out, of course. He may be right. I just feel that the program at Iowa has done enough, and has shown enough with the current talent to shrug the line of not having enough offensive weapons. As for being thin at RB, and I may be completely wrong, but I suspect that given the chance, both Rodgers and Coker would shine. Let's hope we don't have to find out, but there is a lot of offensive talent on the Hawks right now, as far as play makers are concerned. That's the comment that surprised me.
