What is the scoop on Rutgers?

I do not know anything about them. I havent been watching the BTN shows yet. Please reply with who are their top talents, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and what the hawks need to do to win. TIA

They got a could big play guys on offense and a couple really solid Dlinemen. They are not great overall and if Iowa limits the big play it doesn't appear like they can grind out long drives.

Iowa wins if they win the turnover battle and don't give up more than 1-2 big plays.

Not a sure win but one Iowa should win. But we should have won last week...so...????

Or, we run for under 2ypc and get whipped at the line, play clean and still lose.

Possible. I think, or at least sincerely hope, that is unlikely because if that happens against Rutgers, we may not win another game.

I have not watched Rutgers play this year, and after last week I truly do not know what to think.

If we see base, simple offense and nothing but base defense again, in anything but a game that Iowa dominates, I may seriously lose it as it will be unexplainably stupid.

All we can hope is that last week was an ugly combination of NDSU being good, Iowa playing bad(and missing our 2 best on the oline), and the staff thinking it would be an easy win, despite their rhetoric prior to the game.

I am more confused as to how good Iowa may or may not be than before the season started, and it's maddening....3 games in.

Go Hawks.

They play in High Point Solutions stadium. Small but nice and newish

The staff is new this year. Head Coach grew up in Iowa and most recently on Urban's staff

They got 3 coaches who are from or have ties to state of Iowa.

One coach named Neiman is Neiman's dad

They wear red, They got an R on their helmet, it means Rutgers

A lot of their fans are of Italian descent - what aya gona do?

One guy wears #1, he is the big play guy, tail back.

Some people call the Rutgus, others don't call them very good

All I keep hearing about is this Grant guy and how fast he is. I think he's a WR but is really dangerous on special teams. Hope Iowa doesn't give up a couple scores to him.

Here he is.

The fact that their is made up with a bunch of Iowans, but native and former players/coaches worries me a bit.

Not that we are hard to prepare for anyway, but having more detailed knowledge of what we do doesn't help us.

If we cannot stop the run this week, it'll be a clse game.
