What is an appropriate punishment for O$U

OSU does not deserve as harsh or harsher penalties than USC got. Selling merchandise and covering up knowledge vs. providing multi-million dollar homes for families and having the media ignore it?

USC wasn't proven to have bought homes for anyone. An agent did that, and an assistant coach knew it and elected to cover it up. But USC had nothing to do with Bush getting the home in the first place.

The actual infraction of selling merchandise for tats is not that big of a deal, in and of itself. But that's sort of like a gateway drug, IMO. It just opens a whole new realm of possibilities if the NCAA were to say that it's okay to sell merchandise (that these players all get for free, BTW).

And, if the deal with the cars ends up being legit (seems likely), then they absolutely deserve (at the very least) the same punishment as USC. Especially considering the timeframe. USC got hit because of the dealings with basically 2 players (Bush and O.J. Mayo). Ohio State is looking at having a well-developed pattern being established.
