What happened to the Wildcat and all its options???? Especially on 3rd and short.

What's BF supposed to do with this OL? There's literally no scheme that works when your OL is playing so badly that defenses can send 3 linebackers or safeties at will, with no threat of a run or short pass game (because of blocking).

Is Brian at fault for the depth problems? Partially, yes. But Nick Saban, Woody Hayes, and Knute Rockne put together couldn't out-scheme this OL and make Iowa score points when these guys have days like they did against Purdue and Wisconsin.

OK they suck, then I guess you have to simplify everything. I don't have the answers, I'm not paid to.
 
If recruiting misses are the excuse for such a poor OL, then what is the excuse for the recruiting misses?
What are we doing differently?

jNW is 29 in defense, basically top 25%, giving up all those big scores in their losses, 38, 30, 56, 33, and 41? Well I guess it is the era of college football where a lot of teams do not play much defense. In their 3 wins against pretty weak competition they didnt give up many points but that is it. Now this does not mean the hawks will score a bunch against them unless the hawk defense plays great.
