What happened Dakich-wise?

I was unable to watch the game today. Can anyone tell me what happened concerning Dakich? Did he mention the eye poke, or Woodbury at all? Did he apologize? Did the student section get after him at all?

The started a" Dakich sucks" chant during Iowa's first possession of the second half. I actually think the turnover that resulted may have been due in part to Iowa players' inability to tune it out.

Agreed. I thought it was dumb move on the part of the crowd. Maybe you do that **** to start the game or at the end when the game doesn't matter. It was a close game at half with Iowa down six and with the ball. Then we distract our own players with this chat that has them thinking about poke-gate and they make a dumb turnover and Wisconsin is off to the races. Not that it cost us the game. Wisconsin is just better, but still not smart timing on the part of the crowd.

I don't buy that. There were several turnovers in the second half; a couple unforced. I attribute it to Wiscy's talent level, and Iowa's tendency to shoot itself in the foot.

There was no mention of "Woodbury-gate" at all. No apology, no acknowledgement that there was even an issue. The aforementioned chant was the only thing noticeable on TV. It obviously got the announcers' attention as they were completely silent for about 15 seconds.

Wow, Iowa was able to actually shoot at something and hit it? You are just talkin' nonsense now.....;)

I don't think I've ever agreed with anything you've said here. You are right about this. The crowd chanting something had no effect on this game..

I thought it was the best I've seen Dakich do. At the beginning he was clearly trying to be pro Iowa. 2nd half he favored Wisky a little more but they were playing better than Iowa. Overall pretty unbiased. He was professional and I'm glad the whole Woody thing didn't come up. I also didn't see Woody sticking his hands out towards the Wisconsin players. Well handled on everyone's account.
