What do you think Norm's scheme will be for MSU?

Against Michigan Norm went with a scheme that forced DRob to beat them from the pocket.

However, Cousins can carve you up back in the pocket.

How do you think Norm sets up the defense to work against Cousins this week?
 
Michigan State doesnt have a running game so Id expect a similar gameplan. Force Cousins to beat us and I think he will start throwin pics again. Probably see some more blitzes this week.
 
With many of the rumors floating around out there that his other foot is getting worse I wonder even how much he is contributing right now.
 
I think with Cousins you want him moving around so a few blitz's would be nice if the front 4 cannot get to him.
 
I'm thinking Binns will have another big game and I'm hoping Lebron gets in there as well. Getting pressure will be key. If not Iowa might have to gamble a little with the blitzing and hope the coverage is tight.

I have kind of a weird question. Who plays DB oppisite side of Binns? Binns seems to be getting back there better than anyone else and is getting good at knocking down passes, so wouldnt it stand to reason you put you best LB,s and DB's oppisite side than him?
 
I've watched Cousins alot...he really seems to make some bad throws when he feels pressure, I would imagine Norm dials up some blitzes this Saturday. If we can get some pressure, I see a couple INTs for hawk secondary

Since Iowa doesnt match up their CBs, Hyde is the CB who is opposite Binns. I doubt that MSU alters their game plan that much because of Binns blocking passes. Hopefully Binns continues to be factor with pass rush as well as breaking up passes. Would like to see Mike Daniels step up his rush as well. It is senior day so would like to see both of them go out in blaze of glory along with Nardo and Daniel.
 
Make Cousins wish he was still wearing his Tim Dwight Bananna Peel jersey instead of the Sparty-green one. Put the pressure on him big time, double cover Cunningham (has safety valve and number on option all the time) so he has to look elsewhere. That's when the bad decisions will start.


and plenty of late hits and helmet-twisting. (just kiddding!)

Agree with the Cunningham comment...help the Safety over the top and apply pressure make Cousins go elsewhere with the ball should be a good day for hawk D...Not sure why running game has been so dismal.

We were able to contain DRob because we weren't putting pressure on him to leave(not by choice). D-line will need to force Cousins to scramble.

Will it be harder to contain DRob or force Cousins to scramble??
