Apparently can’t coach either.they can't shoot the ball
If you're not making shots you at least need to play defense. Can't be too impressed with the coaching. You have assistant coaches on the bench that have been head coaches and been with Fran for 9 years now at Iowa. After nine years it makes me wonder why no school has come after one of the assistants.
To be fair, Fran packed the dumpster and lit the fire, the staff is just not capable of putting it out.this isn’t a collective of coaches that know how to draw up X’s and O’s

This. Urgent need No. 1 is finding and signing the athletes who can compete in the B1G, especially a true break-down point guard. No more slow, un-athletic suburban kids. Most of you know what I mean.Need one Assistant that can recruit athletes. This assistant should also be the stand up to FM as in - “No we shouldn’t recruit A we need B.” Also, no more of “we got a blue chip visit” We need players inked.
Basketball recruiting budget needs to go from 10th to 5th in the B1G.
Iowa also needs to change its grad transfer rules.
Another assistant brought in to coach D and rebounding fundamentals - currently and obviously not being done.
Another assistant to coach ball skills, we currently have 3-4 players with incorrect shooting fundamentals. Including the head coaches kid. His hand shooting position on the ball is like he is kneading pizza dough.
You need coaches who can recruit something other than slow, plodding, less athletic suburban players and coaches who can mold those athletes into Div. 1 players. We ain’t got that.Shock and awe! We can solve all of our problems by simply firing a bunch of coaches!
