What are the worse basketball losses in Iowa basketball history?

Not sure about Hamilton College. We did lose to Marathon Oil in 1996. Woolridge was injured and didn't play. We were down three and Luehrsmann as a true frosh got fouled on a three pointer at the buzzer. He made the first, but missed the next two and we lot by two.

Bad to be sure, but I would put it at #2.

#1 (for me) was the '69-70 team losing on alast second put-back in the NCAA tournament. Best Iowa BB of all time IMO. I honestly think we would have beaten UCLA that year.

The team that had beat Rick Mount and Purdue for the Big Ten championship. Only to lose to Jacksonville on a winner by Pembroke Burrows III
