Clayborn is going to see a ton of double teams, QB's rolling away from him, and plays designed to take him out of the equation....all of that will be greatly to the benefit of the other 3 DL. Binns is going to have a monster season because a lot of plays are going to roll his way...and thus away from Clayborn. Klug and Ballard will be BETTER than they were last year and that's saying a lot. As an ISU fan first, I can tell you, this is the most impressive DL by far I've seen at Iowa...and I've followed closely since the mid 70's. Considering how good the 1980 and 2002 DL's were...there's good reason for Hawkeye fans to be very excited.
Its all going to make life a lot easier for the LB's and the DB's. If Iowa's D can avoid complacency and overconfidence, they may well be the best defense in America this coming season. Should be fun to watch.
