That Gene Smith and Gordon Gee walk the plank? I put 3 to 1 odds in favor of Smith's demise, 5 to 1 on Gee.

I think they both get fired. Ohio State needs a fresh start. Their Board of Regents must make an example of somebody.

Gee should be first out the door. He should have been canned as soon as he made the "I just hope Coach doesn't fire ME" comment. What an incredibly stupid thing to say, in any context, much less on national television when college football fans everywhere are watching closely.
The entire press conference was a disaster. I don't care about Gee but I want Gene Smith whacked ASAP.

Those who say both Gee and Smith should be fired are correct. THE Ohio State University is an embarrassment to itself, its conference and the universe at large. Getting rid of the vest was only a first step. If Ohio State wants to move forward, it must jettison the rest of the baggage, and sooner rather than later. USC brought in Pat Haden. Ohio State needs to make a couple of similar hires for its new AD and president as it begins to rebuild its brand.

What O$U alum do you know of that has any integrity? There are a few, I suppose, but the Catch-22 goes into effect, i.e., any O$U alum that has ANY integrity has--by default--too much integrity to take the AD job. As for President, they can do what other Big Ten schools do and steal the current Iowa President...

That surprises me Fufred,Gee came off as the moron to me. Smith seemingly supported a coach on his staff and nothing more really.
