I see nothing online about Pizzella coming to Iowa. From Santa Monica, CA, he originally committed to Washington St. AFter a coaching change, I think, he got a release and apparently, just in December did he commit to WF.

So it would appear he made it to spring ball and if he didn't like what he saw he hit the portal again. I'd uess Ruggiero and he probably met somewhere in there.

I will say this isn't as crazy as the Tenn/UCLA QB episode!
