I have a brother who lives in Dallas texas for 25 years. He drives up to iowa 3-4 time per year to Iowa to visit. He often mentions that his drive up was fine until he hit 80. I drive 80 5-6 times per month for meetings in Iowa City. It is far and away the busiest stretch of road in the midwest. I have resorted to taking hiway 6 from Newton to I.C. due to the dangerous level of traffic on 80. SOmtimes in the middle of nowhere 80 comes to a standstill. Its time to make it 3 lanes.

I drive Davenport to CR daily. 80 is bad. 380 is almost worse in the morning. Drive safe everyone

Not sure what happened. We were near the Tipton exit around 6:20 a.m.
Miles of traffic just stopped, so we took the exit and took a small detour.

Feel sorry for the people that didn't know the detour route. They were stuck in traffic for probably 45+ minutes.
