I know the situation a bit, Woodbury does not like Staten. it also extends to their families. Staten has by all accounts cleaned up his act. I am not a Heelan fan but Tom Betz is not a whore coach that will play anyone that offers him the ability to win, if Wesley wasnt getting it done he wouldnt be playing I am confident. For my money the best ballplayer in the area is across the river in S. Sioux city, NE Mike Gesell is the best I've ever seen, Kirk Hinrich included.

Agreed 100%. Gesell, right now, is a way more complete player than staten. I think Gesell is the far superior defender as well as pure shooter.

How long has he had the Facebook profile? I don't know if you can tell.

I have a 15 year old cousin Facebook thinks is 19 because he created the profile when he was under 13 and put the minimum age in his personal info at the time. It's not that uncommon.

This. Facebook was originally intended for just college students, and you had to be like 17 or older to get a profile. That's changed since then, but if he got his profile a few years ago, then his age would be off.

Ah yes, Facebook was so much cooler when it wasn't cool. It was just gaining popularity during my freshmen year at Iowa. You had to have a valid university email address from some select, participating colleges to even create an account. I had an account, but my girlfriend who went to Coe at the time couldn't get one.

But I digress...back to Staten.

Cyclones land freshman Wesley Staten 15-year-old Wesley Staten has committed to Iowa State even though he hasn't played high school basketball.
Written Nov. 6th, 2008. So I guess he might be 18 if his birthday lands in between Nov. and March.
But go on believing facebook as opposed to IHSAA rules if it makes you feel better.
