while i agree he wasn't THE issue, he was part of it. he was rattled all night and his throws were not close. AND on the 2-pt conversion, he panicked and threw a bullet into coverage and missed a wide open tgood coming out of the backfield at the 5 yd line and the defender assigned to him was still in the end zone. all stanley had to do was throw it to tgood for a one on one in the flat inside the 5 yard line.
There isn't a QB alive who wouldn't be rattled when his OL plays like that.

Possibly true. But with even an avg oline by Iowa standards, I have a hard time believing we aren't 6-0, even with our avg qb.
Oline has been a full blown disaster the last 2 games.

you are right. but a 3 yr SR starter needs to nut-up and figure out a way to win. stanley goes into his shell and covers his nuts with both hands way to often. he had plenty of time on the 2-pt conversion and he still panicked and missed tgood.

CJ’s line in ‘15 was garbage too but he was tough as nails and seemed to get more ice in his veins as more and more shit hit the fan. I’ve always said what Stanley is missing is the toughness and anger. He doesn’t have a pissed off bone in his body.
Put CJ’s toughness and ability to handle stress in Nate Stanley’s body and you have the next Aaron Rodgers. So goddamn frustrating that he can’t develop that personality

Stanley can not extend a play with his feet. He can't even get outside the box to throw the ball away. His accuracy is very inconsistent.

pretty close on this. and the thing is that CJB had to bring that on his own. our staff doesn't ever appear to want that in a qb. they want even keel, blah, blah. you can be both, ya dopes.

He will make millions in the NFL why would he be pissed off? Kirk makes millions every year why would he be pissed off? Barta is almost making a million a year so why would he be pissed off. Football funds a lot more than just football as revenue is over 100 million a year so the University President isn’t pissed off.
Would it surprise anyone if the board of regents has their hand in the till also since they don’t seem pissed off? So the only people who are pissed off are the fans who don’t have their hands in the till. Sucks doesn’t it?
Have to disagree. He missed an open Smith for a td, only a ten yard pass, wasn't even close. On the interception, both receivers were open. Just a really poor throw. If he makes just a few plays, we win

stanley was part of it. but he wasn't all of it. i mean, B.S. also fumbled once but was bailed out by TY. so, stanley got him the ball that time and he coughed it up. that's all the point i am making.
