So before anybody makes a comment about it yes I know this is both a silver lining and a truth that makes you just want to run your head into a wall. On paper, we've played the two best teams on our schedule, and we have yet to play a team that was better than us. Having said that, play cleaner, and go win the rest of them, and you'll be in Indianapolis. I don't know a single person on this board that if I would have said we are going to be an Indianapolis at the end of the year, wouldn't have signed up for that. Go beat Purdue, whose playing good ball right now, and then go win out. Then go beat Michigan in Indy.

My neighbor asked me today if I was going to wear my Hawkeye gear. I turned around and looked at him with my Hawkeye ballcap and Hawkeye sweatshirt on and said Hell yes! He chuckled and said me to while shaking his head if we could just stop beating ourselves. That's what so disappointing. We are a very good team and just can't seem to get out of our own way. I was mad as hell and I still shake my head a lot and mumble to myself ……….what if.

Also if there is a silver lining....if we were going to lose another game, this was the game to lose. Obviously, beating PSU would have been the first choice, but we have no head to head with them. And our offense (Stanley) played horrible for a lot of the game and we still almost beat PSU at their place.
