Welch or Daniels, Daniels or Welch, who gets the nod?

Most figured Daniels would be the heir apparent to Blythe....but with Welch taking over for spring ball, who wins the spot? Or does it really matter in the long run?

With Daniels missing spring practice and Welch being the most experienced lineman we have (thus better suited to make the proper line calls), I would have to say Welch, with Daniels moving from guard to center if Welch goes down. Daniels will probably start his last 2 years at center, but he 'fits' better at guard right now.

This is Welsh's baby. There will be a full force effort to meld the offensive line around Welsh's leadership as the center. Daniels will need to come up to speed after injury. Hopefully that process is already well along already. I would think at some point Daniels starts seeing repetitions at center with the second team.

It's comments like this that make reading them enjoyable. I just don't get the nastiness.

Well it sounds as though Welch graded out as the teams best overall lineman last year. He's getting first crack at center so I'd say he's the leader in the clubhouse. I have all the faith in the world that he'll play well. I think this line should be pretty darn good. Daniels more then got his feet wet last year and if he can get a bit of a nasty streak in him I think he'll do well. I thought it was pretty cool last year when he was blocking for his brother to score one of his TDs. It can't get a whole lot better then that for his family. I sure hope they do that and then some this year.

Oh BV, you got us good, lol. Yes, someone spelled his name wrong and you ran with it! He's not grape jelly, he's our best lineman......And why didn't you mention that our coach is Kurt Furantz? I think SeeJay Breathard will have an awewsome yeer!!! And that JewWell will be the best LB (or pawn shop owner) in the B1G...Lol....
