Wegher named in custody suit

Sounds like the chica wants a slice of the elder Wegher's portfolio.
I would need someone on the the level of OK4P to explain to me how on any reasonable planet that could be fair.
Impute this, b!tch. It takes two to tango.

Awful responses in my opinion. C'mon guys. He did his best on the field for us.

I actually hope that everything works out for him and his family. Yes, he now has a kid and I wish the best for him and his family.

I understand why this was posted given the suit, but I'm pulling for him to do what he needs to do to help support his family.

Sorry, I just don't like how some people take pleasure in other peoples' trying times.

It's just unbelievable, how far and how fast his life has seemingly flown off the tracks. I sincerely hope he figures things out, for everybody's sake.

i think people have a hard time seeing a kid, with the world by the proverbial balls, **** it all down his leg.

I agree that he shouldn't be kicked while down, but it isn't like he had bad luck forced on him, or something. Self-created problems. But he's got at least one child so it is time for some real-world choices for Mr. Wegher. Instead of toting the rock, he is going to be toting the diaper bag.

Hopefully he is able to do both. His college/pro football life is far from over. His adult life is happening much earlier than most.

I remember when he was coming in thinking about how well-spoken he was. That isn't gone. But he does have challenges outside of football that will be tough.

I bet it is over. It will be very hard for him to come back to college, let alone football.

Maybe he can make it work at Morningside, or a smaller school like that. He's burned at least two bridges now.

Too bad, but opportunities like the one he had don't come around every corner.

I don't really look at this situation as a "train wreck" or that he "p**sed away" a potentially big college and pro career. I think he put himself in an irresponsible situation, but did the responsible thing. If he felt he couldn't handle football, college classes, and a child, then one of them had to go, and choosing to quit the football team was the smart move.

It's selfish of us to think he should keep playing football. I can't imagine how hard it was for him to give up something he loved, especially when he would've played a big role on the team. I simply don't know anything about this situation--and shouldn't--but from what I can gather, he had to grow up quickly, and some things had to go differently than what he, or any of the hawkeye fans wanted.

The last line says the defendants earning capacity is far greater than his actual income. Oh good grief. I never could understand the concept of basing child support on the defendants income. The law should determine how much it costs to raise and support a child and set a fixed rate. I mean think about it for a second....why should some chick receive 400 bucks a month because she sleeps with a crack head only to have some of other chick from the same town receive 4000 bucks a month because she slept with a multimillionaire. I say it probably costs an additional 300 bucks a month to raise a child under 5 years old. (of course medical care is paid by the father anyway) Set the number at 300 bucks and make EVERYONE pay it crackheads and CEOs.

that will almost pay for daycare.

No but maybe it would take care of lazy deadbeat moms. I know we never hear about them all we hear is how bad dads are but let me say I know more moms who sit around all day collecting money from the dad and from the government then I know deadbeat dads.
