The best way to decide if effort 2as given is to look at rebound stats. We killed them on the boards so i have a hard time believing we lost due to effort. We shot like complete garbage. When your shooting percentages are in the 20's, there's no reason to try to look for other reasons why we lost.

I'd say PSU played well against our weaknesses. Physical and pesky defenses can give us trouble. Looked like they were trying to emulate Northern Iowa's game plan. We need to be able score in the paint more with tight defense like that. We got quite a few calls against them but we had an opportunity to rack up a lot more had we been more aggressive and stronger with the ball. Uthoff only got to the three times, he's our second best play maker, against that defensive pressure he needs to look for driving more. And of course you can't have the game woody did when they were extended on the perimeter like they were.
