Not much to build with next season as we lose our d-line, left tackle, best corner, best safety. I'm expecting a similar year next season. 6-8 wins

Ok, ok, check this out.

Next year we play;
NIU in Chicago
ISU in Iowa City
UNI in Iowa City
Central Michigan in Iowa City
Minnesota in Iowa City

All in a row, all in Iowa City. Chicago counts as a home game as far as playing NIU goes.

So, right off the bat, we WILL be 5-0. No way around it and I am not drinking any damn kool aid.

Not to mention we still play Northwestern, Purdue and Indiana.

So, barring any upset (which will happen) we should have at least 8 wins.

Also, Nebraska and Penn State in Iowa City are very winnable. The Michigan schools are very beatable as well, especially MSU next year.

Weak big 10 showing illustrates:
1. Nothing
2. Bowl games are exhibition games
3. Bad matchups in bowls
4. I own a koala bear

Honestly i think it means absolutely nothing except the end of a very long season and a reason for all the teams to have a bad taste in their mouths for next year.

There better some sort of "correction" next year, because the creme puff schedule ends the year after when we get OSU and WI back. I do not consider NIU, ISU or UNI guaranteed wins by any stretch. ISU and UNI will come in all jacked up and we will be flat as a pancake per usual. We seem to play our best football week 6-8. Before and after I think we could lose to anyone.

A loss to Iowa St OR Minnesota next year is completely and totally unacceptable. The fact we lost all of our rivalry trophies this year is an EMBARASSMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't disagree more - the bowl showing indicates that the gap between Iowa and the top of the Big Ten is not that great - if we recruit well, we can close the gap rather quickly. By the way, we are recruiting well and the gap will be closed.

You are consistently too negative about this program -

Do people not actually realize that other teams lose players as well. I get that impression when I read posts sometimes.

You think it will be easy for Wisconsin to replace Russell Wilson and Nick Toon, or for Michigan State to replace their QB, top 3 recievers, and there best safety? It's college football and players graduate!

It might not be easy. But it will be EASIER for them to replace them than it is for Iowa to replace their losses.

Records
Big Ten 4-6
ACC 2-5 1 game left
Big 12 6-1 1 game left
Big East 2-1 2 games left
Pac 12 2-5
SEC 4-2 3 games left

Does anyone know isu's outlook for next year? They had a decent defense, and it appears that they lose a lot of seniors on both sides of the ball. I think we should be able to beat them by 10- 14 points

IF WE DON'T WIN 8 NEXT YEAR, WITH THIS SCHEDULE, KF HAS TO GO (of course, we WILL win 6-7 and KF will still be here :(

I agree that with that schedule that 8 wins should be a very bare minimum but I am predicting 7-5 again.
