We lost to a good defensive team today, and the only other year we lost to penn. St. We ended up beating northwestern, that was 2007. We have a huge chance to go 3-0 the next three games. So dont freak out hawk fans. We will put it together and surprise people.
 


Says a lot about the caliber of the Big 10 right now.
 




I am no hater... But really? After the offensive performance today... Lucky if we beat DES moines Hoover
 




If Persa plays, I picture them having a better offensive performance than Penn St. today. They put a lot of points on a very decent Illinois defense last week. Fact of the matter is our defensive line is soft up the middle. Any team with a pulse of a running game is going to drive it down our throats. On top of that we can't contain anyone. We knew our offense was going to have to carry the day. That didn't happen, and if Kirk doesn't figure it out it could be a long season. I can't bring myself to say we will beat Northwestern...I'll be watching and rooting though.
 


Yes we will win if Persa plays, he will not have a good game, and iowa will play alot better becuz of the night game atmospher. We just had a bad game today
 


No, we will not. We will also lose to at least one of Indiana, Minnesota, or Purdue; not to mention the remaining decent teams on the schedule.

Alright, a win against Northwestern - that's worth about 3 million a year
 


Doubtful.... have you reviewed our record against NU? ANd we lost all those games to NU when we had a GOOD DEFENSE..... clearly don't this year so do the math

No excuses. This is an average team at best this year. That is simply being an honest Hawk fan not a pathetic one. Something has been wrong with this team ever since the big win over Michigan State last year.
 


I have the Hawks losing to the Wildcats.

Hawks were a part of two winning streaks ending this year. I doubt Iowa can make it three out of three.

I'm staying with an 8-4 record. I will review this prediction after the weekend is over which is the half way point of the season. I need to see how the Michigan vs. Northwestern game comes out.

Wow, dumb and pathetic...huh. To think there is not cause for concern is dumb. I'll be rooting for the Hawks to win every game on their schedule, but if this is the level of physicality they're going to be playing at, it doesn't give me a lot of confidence. That's just being real. That's what these boards are for..giving honest takes of what you see in the games. If it's not a positive observation that doesn't make you dumb or pathetic.:mad:
 






You negative nancies are all wrong. Today, KF and Iowa were clearly looking ahead to next saturday's NW game.
We'll be ready. Persa will be hurt and out of the game by halftime. Their backup, some kid named Ann Coulter, will not beat our overpowering D and JVB will hook up with #s 6 and 7 all night long.
Book it. Bloodbath. Hawks by 17.
 


We won't beat NW. I think things are going to get very bad at Kinnick next week.... as in boo birds galore. NW wins big 31 to 17.
