That doesn't really make sense. This has been a season of close losses and improbable shots falling against Iowa. Much like Ricky Stanzi's senior year, both are teams that were damn close to having a great season.

The difference being that the basketball program isn't to a place where the fans are disappointed about a good season that could have been great.

This fact shows how close this team is to being top 4 in the B1G, being a contender, and being very very good.

Let's say the hawks won the MSU, Wisky on the road, and Nebby games which are the 3 I think they were really "unlucky/didnt close it out" in. They had a good lead late against MSU, the big lead at Nebby, and had wisky several times late.

If I am not mistaken that makes Iowa 23-8 overall and 12-6 in the B1G which would really have been an amazing leap.

I just hope we see an improvement of a couple games next year perhaps against a tougher non-conf schedule. Then we can say the hawks are back.
