All is not lost right now. Yeah we lost to a $hitty team that we were clearly better than and should not lost to but the season is still not lost. We win out and we are in the B1G championship game. It most likely won't happen but until it doesn't no need to freak out. We should know by now that the Hawkeyes are going to lose some games they shouldn't sometimes but in turn also win some games that they probably shouldn't. Vandenburg is a different QB (Aaron Rodgers)at home for whatever reason than on the road (Tony Romo) so if he can keep that up and pull out 2 huge wins at home the next 2 weeks then you would think his road woes would turn around eventually and could happen at Purdue which would leaves the game with Nebraska for the Legends Div championship. Until the Hawkeyes get blown out of a game you cannot count them out of any game. For the last several years we have been in every game with a chance to win every game. Not many (if any) other teams can say that. I understand the skepticism of most people. The talent level is down this year especially on the DL. At Iowa you can expect some down years. But we had a good class of recruits last year and a good class next year and cannot jump ship on coaches. We have had down years in past and have bounced back just fine. I know a lot of people are wanting Hawks to go to next level and the disappointment of "the year" last year is still lingering, but they can still get there. Staff has shown the ability to do more with less and due to the Orange Bowl win couple years ago and the players going to NFL recruiting has gotten better which will bode well for Hawkeyes in future. Everyone just needs to relax. At worst hopefully this team can get to a bowl game which will be very important to help develop our younger guys and is huge to get Vandenburg to take the next step for next year. Plus we can keep our bowl winning streak alive which bodes well for recruiting. Also what the hell is with all the "Beilema is the best coach in the world" talk. We are in better position than Wisconsin right now. We still control our destiny this year. Wisconsin does not. But whatever if all of you want to sit in your puddle of pity go ahead, however there is no need for you to **** on all the players and coaches. How bout you all let us know when you play some backyard football next and we will come watch you and criticize every play you make. When there are humans involved you are going to have mistakes, it is how you react to those and make yourself better. If you make enough mistakes, anyone can lose to anyone (see New Orleans game from yesterday). As I see it we lost on Saturday to that barely lost to USC who barely lost to Stanford so we are not that far off . Call me an optimist but it is much better than being mad at the world and a bunch of 19-22 year old kids! And just ask my wife, I get just as ****** off and disappointed as everyone else when they lose but a lot of people on here go way too far and act like this is there first season of being a hawkeye fan. There are very few schools who can expect bcs bowl type seasons every year (Alabama, usually OSU, Oklahoma) we will probably never be that. I know one thing, things could be a lot worse than life with Ferentz (see Michigan since Carr left, Minn, Illinois under Zooker). What I am getting at is, we will be fine, just let the rest of the year play out before you get on that ledge my friend. Sorry for the rambling. Does not matter if anyone reads this or not just had to get this off my chest1
