We should "respectfully decline"...

...any makeup game that isnt held at CHA.

They're in 10th, we're 1.5 games out of first. Their building sucks, our doesnt. They declined a reasonable compromise, so the inconvenience should be theirs now.

Indiana should have one of their donors personally pick up the Hawks in a private jet if they do have to go back to Bloomington

The fact that IU turned down a reasonable alterative to getting the game played (that Iowa endorsed), IMO, just cannot bode well for them. That was a bad move.

If this had happened at Carver, I would be reacting the same way as I am against Indiana. If the opposing team would have been willing to play at the Well I would have been upset had Iowa "respectfully declined".

Same here...especially since I probably could have rounded up tickets.

The fact that they declined the reasonable compromise makes this whole situation way worse. They were given a way out that inconveniences their guest the least and they only cared about themselves. That is beyond selfish.

Totally agree, but you watch Delaney fukk us in this deal. Bary Garta better stand up for the Hawks loudly over this or I'll officially call for his canning.

They could have bumped the women's game and we played there tonight..I hope the big gets involved and stands up for IowA for once. Play the damn game at Iowa.

The only reason they are proceeding with the women's game is because of the lack of fans that attend. There would be no one even sitting close to those sections.

If the game had been moved to Indy, there probably would not have been TV for that. ESPN has a full schedule. How would they just squeeze in that game?

It probably would have been bumped to ESPN 3, U, or classic. Either way, viewing the game would have been difficult.

I am sure it is out there somewhere, but where has it been reported that we offered CHA for this game?

Thanks in advance.

We didn't offer the game at CHA. The Pacers offered to host the game tonight. Iowa accepted that compromise, Indiana did not. So as far as I'm concerned, they can travel to CHA to play the game.

When stuff happens, you give up being all warm and fuzzy like IU wants to be, and just get the game played to keep on schedule. It should have been played tonight in Indy.

Remember, this is not weather related. This is IU's deal.

Unless we want to take a forfeit we're not going to be able to decline playing anywhere once the Big Ten tells us where we're playing. The macho posturing would make for some fun drama and it has been entertaining reading everyone's angry reactions but at the end of the day we want to win a title and we're going to have to play wherever.

It wasn't. But the Pacers offered to let Indiana use their arena tonight, and Indiana turned it down while Iowa was ready to go.

This is right but I would force the B1G to make that call. I really hope Barta doesnt give in to what IU wants.

Since there hasnt been a makeup announced yet I dont see a compromise coming. I think Friday afternoon the ball will be in Delany's court.
