Fran stated that he would like to take the 2 BEST PLAYERS AVAILABLE with the last 2 schollies whether that is a big or not.
We have 2 scholarships left..

I think he will get his big next year with Woodbury. Meyer might be another pickup also. These are two kid's that would bring a nice addition to the squad! so getting CG, Hubbard, Miller wouldn't be bad at all. You would have a tremendous athletic tandem with those 3. That's to say we get them. Cezar is my biggest hope.

He can't waste schollies on projects. He knows he needs people who can play come 2012. Basabe came in and did great as a freshmen, who says he can't find someone for 2012 to play right away.
Next year we're going to have to live with weakness at center and accepting playing small. But by 2012 even with a freshmen at C, we should be pretty solid and have plenty of depth.
I say this only if he feels Hubard, Cezar, and Miller are better then available forwards.

I agree. He doesn't want to bring in a big who isn't ready to play right now.
But is he ready to go to war with Brommer and Archie at center?

He said in the transcript "we need a big" so I'm assuming no. But at the same time he said he will take the 2 best prospects so it sounds like he is going to work an odd rotation at times. I really dont know how true this is. Its just my own take on what Mac said in the transcript.

Not really. But we can't take on somebody who isn't an upgrade right now. The next best thing is an infusion of athleticism on the perimeter. Cezar and Hubbard/Carter/Miller (in no particular order, but we'd only get one) would certainly do that.
Imagine this in 3/4 years:
PG-Cezar, Cully (or other PG recruit down the road)
SG-Carter/Miller, Ogelsby
SF-Marble/White
PF-Basabe/McCabe/JUCO 2012
C-Woodbury
That's pretty potent, IMO.

Yes. and I think a lot of people are overlooking what McC said on the call in show. He mentioned a junior big man commit coming soon. My guess is 6'9 Kyle Meyer. Although Woodbury could announce early, but Meyer is supposed to announce this week.
