We are in

Only way we are IN is if we win the first game, no Thurs/Friday game = NOT IN TOURNAMENT!

I have no good argument but I hate the play in games so I will always hold my opinion that the tournament is 64.

If we lose tues/we'd night... Come Thursday when the tourney actually starts and your bracket matters, let me know how you feel about the tourney "appearance"

Do you typically watch the play in games?? I don't. II watch ball all day Thursday-Sun... That's enough for me.

Obviously I will watch the Iowa game but don't expect some great national exposure to be gained for the play in game.

This sums it up completely. I will not feel like Iowa was in the tournament if it doesn't win this play in game so that it can play on Thursday or Friday.

To me, this game feels more like the title game of a conference tournament to get an automatic bid in a situation where you have to win 4 games in 4 days. Lose and you're out.

Please explain, if we are not "in", how there are numerous teams that are "in" but have lower seeds than Iowa? Like, 15, 16, 12, etc. Just want to know if you are trolling or if you have something to say that will qualify you for an IQ in double figures.

From where we are we can win the National Championship...same as 67 other teams. This can't happen from the NIT. I don't care what terminology anyone uses. Bring on Tennessee. Good Iowa will be playing Duke on Sunday. Bad Iowa will be done Wednesday night.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I hate them as well & just want 64.that's. The perfect # of teams and still makes the regular season important. My point was that theoretically, a play in team could win, so could be said a play in team is a participant.

Why is everyone on here just skipping to playing Duke? You win you play Umass who is no pushover.

So one person posts something about playing Duke and you use the word "everyone". Go back to your pathetic board and enjoy your 3 seed. Should be an easy run for you guys.

Real question here: Is this a game that Iowa should win? Trying to win my billion dollars here folks. Earlier in the season I wouldn't have hesitated on picking our guys, but well they haven't been playing so well as of late.

This selection is garbage. Iowa should be no lower than an 8 seed, and probably much higher. Iowa has been ranked in the top 10 this season. Iowa blew out a number 2 seed this year, and took another 2 seed to overtime. They won at a number 6 seed. This team can easily play at a number 2 seed level making this pick ridiculously low. I am getting sick of this team getting the short end of the stick every year.
