Asking tough questions is not a lack of support.
If Ferentz has players that are unable to execute the schemes he wants to run, then he needs to put players in the game that can. Maybe Ruddock is a better gamer than practice QB. Maybe JVB makes all the plays in practice but plays like he has in the game. Why keep him in the game when he has demonstrated he can't do it this season?
If he doesn't have players that can successfully execute his scheme, then he should change his scheme to the players' talents and abilities.
If he doesn't have players that can successfully execute at the upper B1G level or Central Michigan, NW, Indiana level, then that's on him, too.
Why can't the coaching staff/Ferentz successfully execute the clock? Why has Ferentz/the coaching staff not improved on the execution that they control?
I appreciate what Ferentz has done at Iowa and want him to coach the Hawks. That doesn't mean questions can't and shouldn't be asked about the things left undone.
