BW... Still the biggest "what coulda been' story in my lifetime. There's no telling the stats and impact he coulda had with 2 or 3 more seasons at Iowa. His talent was unreal. Strait up. I think he could have had a season better then Shonn Greene did the following year(s) The guy pissed away a hell of a chance. Still got a yr at Morningside however where he put up video game numbers and got a cup of coffee with the Panthers after that.
Yeah Lewis had a good year or so there too. That game he had up at Michigan I still remember. That was a big big game. While Wehger had a lot of potential not sure if I would put it as the "biggest" my most recent would be Jermelle Lewis. That guys was poised to be a superstar stud and just couldn't stay healthy.
On a continuous loop. Not sure how I missed this before, but I love the nudge by Young on Roberts, "hey, get out of my way, I need to plow into my teammate."

It’s the off-season, I think we can all use a Little Brother highlight reel periodically to keep our spirits high for these next 9 months. This one’s my favorite, and I’m not ashamed in the least to have reposted it before.
Keep the change ya filthy animals.
Yes, over last 20 years, it seems if game decided at buzzer, ISU wins, if massive blowout we win. Frustrating, but the last few years turning the tables has taken away some of that sting9-3 over the last 12 years, with every loss being by 3 pts. Average margin of victory in the 9 wins: 20 points.
Those 3 losses probably never should have happened. But in fairness, we could have easily lost a couple to some pretty good ISU teams over the past 3 years. As long as Campbell stays there, this will be a pretty competitive rivalry.
I still remember the term "academic indigestion" being used to describe ARob's status.Yeah Lewis had a good year or so there too. That game he had up at Michigan I still remember. That was a big big game.
Wegher was just such a stud. If you ever saw him play in HS or his highlights there along with his 1 yr at Iowa it'd just blow you away. He was a man amongst boys and it wasn't due to size. He was like 5'11 and maybe 185ish in HS most of his time there. HS was just way too easy for him. He got to around 200 lbs by the time he was at Iowa but man he was unreal. His vision and ability to accelerate was amazing. Had great hands could have been a WR just as easily. He'd have rewrote some records had he played 3 or more yrs at Iowa. I have no doubts about that. Especially since ARob was an idiot and ran himself off after the following season too.
Comparing anyone to McCaffrey is a big time compliment. I think it fits. Would he have been that good? I dunno would we have used him like that enough? But certainly size and skill wise that's as good of a comparison as I could think of too.Wehger really did have Christian McCaffrey like potential. Yes, I am doing the white guy comparison thing(which is kinda lazy I know), but he really could have been that guy, imo.

Yeah I agree with you on that. I was just asking the question. Which is why the dude is not only the only white RB of significance to have been in the league forever but an absolute monster stud of one.Not a chance. McCaffery's parents were a pro ball player and a college swimmer who was the daughter of an Olympic track star. The guy is at the pinnacle of genetics for athletic competition.
