WDM Valley Dowling Game

Went to the Valley Dowling game last night. It was a defensive game all night long. Valley has a kicker who kicked every kick off 3 yards out of the end zone. That is a huge weapon in high school ball as the talented opposition has no chance to run it out and is forced to take the ball on the 20. Iowa should take a serious look at this kid. I know Iowa had coaches at the game watching some of the Dowling kids and I am sure the coaches could not have missed seeing this kid. He has also hit a 52 yard field goal this year.

What do you guys know about Valley sophomore RB/KR Tre Fugate? I've heard good things.
The Sophomore RB/KR/WR was hurt against Johnston in Friday nights game. I don't know the severity of the injury. Looked like either and ankle or knee injury. He was not putting a lot of weight on that leg. I think he is listed as 5'9" and 165 pounds. To me he looks more like 155 pounds. He is very quick and scary fast. He needs to get stronger, which being only a sophomore he should be able to do. Against Dowling, Valley threw two passes to him that were a little off target like between the hips and knees. He failed to catch either pass. Both would have been good for 5-7 yards at the catch spot and with his speed who knows what he might have done. I think Valley got frustrated in the lack of yards on either pass and decided to try someone different going forward for the rest of that game.

Thanks for the report. I had someone mention him to me as a potential prospect to watch.
