Way to much Hype.

FWIW, Rudock has been the second best QB on campus this year. Now, it's not like he had a lot of competition for that, but his mechanics were very pure coming out of HS, something you don't always see.

How that translates to the actual college playing field remains to be seen, and will likely remain to be seen for another year

It's not all about mechanics. It's more about the mental game and making the right reads.

Rudock isn't being hyped by anyone except Iowa message board honks. Christensen was a 5 star, #1 rated QB, can't miss prospect. Rudock is a 3 star, #20 rated QB, who played on a great team in HS.

Drew Tate was hyped as well. In fact, Drew's HS career and Hype was closer to Ruddock's than what Jake's was.

Iowa has a highly successful HS QB, with a strong JUCO to compete for the starting job. Think the hype is just fine.

You do also realize Ruddock basically pushed Derby to D, even though Derby was second string, right?

We'll see. Isn't he listed a shade over 6'?? And he really needs to gain weight, he's got at least another year and half to do so.

FYI Rudock is listed at 6'3", DBA. Regardless, if you watch his high school tapes you will see where the "hype" is coming from. Tremendous accuracy and has experience working in a pro-style system. Also shows pretty good mobility and speed. Rudock has all the tools to be a very, very successful QB at Iowa.

Everybody is talking about how good he's gonna be. Look around.

are you trying to fill the negative gap left after the JVB bashers got banned? settle down. sure, there are probably 5 people who think he'll be the next joe montana, but the rest of us are taking the wait and see approach.
