^^^^ Warning! Don't click. Actual non-politicized science.

Ya gotta luv America. Get rid of tobacco smokes because it's bad for your health and people don't like the smoke. And make sure to switch to a different kind of smoke at the same time because it makes people healthier and the public luvs that being blown in their face.

Christmas: It's gonna be great for the next 4/8 years. Gosh it's great to be high on life. I know, that's for suckers . . .

. . . and people who don't need to escape a life filled with fail.

He found that adolescents who use cannabis regularly are about twice as likely as their nonuser peers to drop out of school, as well as experience cognitive impairment and psychoses as adults. Moreover, studies have also linked regular cannabis use in adolescence with the use of other illicit drugs, according to the review, published today (Oct. 6) in the journal Addiction.

Researchers in the studies still debated whether regular marijuana use might actually lead to the use of other drugs, Hall wrote in the study. However, he pointed to longer-term studies and studies of twins in which one used marijuana and the other did not as particularly strong evidence that regular cannabis use may lead to the use of other illicit drugs.

“Although no positive or negative neurobehavioral effects of prenatal exposure were found at 3 days of life using the Brazelton examination, there were significant differences between the exposed and non-exposed neonates at the end of the first month.

Comparing the two groups, the neonates of mothers who used marijuana showed better physiological stability at 1 month and required less examiner facilitation to reach an organized state and become available for social stimulation.

The results of the comparison of neonates of the heavy-marijuana-using mothers and those of the non-using mothers were even more striking…

  • The heavily exposed neonates were more socially responsive and were more autonomically stable at 30 days than their matched counterparts.
  • quality of their alertness was higher;
  • their motor and autonomic systems were more robust;
  • they were less irritable;
  • they were less likely to demonstrate any imbalance of tone;
  • they needed less examiner facilitation to become organized;
  • they had better self-regulation;
  • judged to be more rewarding for caregivers than the neonates of non-using mothers at 1 month of age

Marijuana may be even safer than previously thought, researchers say

I started gargling drano 3 months ago. I'm fine and I can't find any studies about it. My plumbing has never been better.

And since I lost one of my lungs, I cut my smoking in half.

States that have it legal

Crime is down
Revenues up
People happier.

It's not even a discussion anymore except in Midwest and South.

I live in CA, and use on a regular basis (cause I don't want glaucoma ;) )

It's a way to unwind, relax, and does help me sleep better.

I live in CA too. It takes in 33% of all welfare dollars. It's not 33% of the population. It's a failed state whose poverty and crime rate are rising not falling. In fact the sanctuary cities are proof of a disdain for the rule of law. Only someone who is high would consider that value system the definition of wisdom.

When you hear the term “welfare state,” most people think of Europe and countries like Denmark or France. No doubt those countries offer a wide range of benefits targeted to the middle class, retirees and so forth.

But according to a study recently released by the Cato Institute, someone who is poor might just be better off in California.

The federal government currently funds more than 100 anti-poverty programs. While no one participates in all of them, many can and do collect assistance from multiple programs.

In California a mother with two children under the age of 5 who participates in these major welfare programs – Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (food stamps), housing assistance, home energy assistance, Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children – would receive a benefits package worth $30,828 per year.

Using a similar measure, Cato found that benefits in Europe ranged from $38,588 per year in Denmark to just $1,112 in Romania. The California benefits package is higher than in well-known welfare states as France ($17,324), Germany ($23,257) and even Sweden ($22,111).

In fact, California’s welfare system can be more generous than every country included, except Denmark. Moreover, this benefit package doesn’t include Medicaid, which would be worth roughly $4,459 for this household.

I'd never recommend for anyone to pick up any drug or alcohol if they can simply avoid it. I do agree with Christian Ballard though, this drug can be a useful one and much less side effects than the drugs that it would replace. I have first hand experience with it and know thru first hand and with data that it is less harmful and less addictive than the legal drugs alcohol and tobacco. I've used all 3. Not legal in Iowa and not anytime soon either. The drug has been misrepresented for a long time now so the prejudices against it won't be changed overnight.

Of the 3, and Americans have been consuming all 3 for a long time now, alcohol and tobacco have ruined many more families and lives for sure. All 3 have the capability to do it.

Best advice, just say no. Get high on life as JB says.

You do realize you can use marijuana/cannabis and not get high, right?

That moment when you know the experiment of getting as many people as high as possible has failed.

For those of you really high right now, what's wrong in this video and what state does it takes place in?

Ummm, the state you live in? What's wrong with it? Less than those would use violence to stop flag desecration or ridicule those who voted for a certain politician or not. And just to satisfy your curiosity, I did not vote for the candidate you seem to loath.
