That would give the Hawks a run for their money.

Why? Why post dumb, negative **** like this? Do you get off on being a negative Nancy poster?
I think you win the award for "Captain Obvious" poster, Caar. You're constantly stating how we need a huge infusion of talent. No ****!? Even my Mom knows that. You don't think Fran is giving 100% effort to try and do that? He's doing the best with what he has to work with right now. We're a crappy, VERY unappealing bball program right now and it's going to take a lot of patience. Constantly whining and pointing on the most obvious stuff doesn't help.
Some people here are morons??? I think you ment most

Pessimist for sure.Quick question. Who's more annoying, an eternal optimist or an eternal pessimist?

This is reasonable. They were show casing some of the better teams in the country tonight on espn and I wouldn't be surprised if one of them beat this years Iowa team. Next year is a whole different story.I remember getting into a debate on here two years ago about whether the '09-'10 Ames High team (featuring Barnes and McDermott) could beat the '09-'10 Iowa team (Lick's last season). The general consensus was that it was a stupid question and no high school team could beat any college team, but I've always had my doubts. Basketball really only takes one or two studs to compete (not necessarily to win consistently, but to compete), and there are some high school kids that are NBA ready, which isn't something you can say about any recent Hawkeyes.Edit: If you want to find that thread to read what people said, you can't. That thread sadly passed away in the Event of December 2009.
Agree 100% with this.Eric May wouldnt have started for either team
