Gilman with a 24-8 tech fall in the finals over another previously unbeaten kid. He did give up one takedown where it was his shot and just got a little sloppy and that was the first takedown he gave up all year!
The announcers even talked about how he "wants to be an Iowa wrestler, he wants to wrestle for the Brands brothers."

Yeah he did get a little sloppy but I think he would look very good in Black and Gold. With the boos heard after he won, he is already used to the reception Iowa gets from everyone else. I know he beat him in freestyle but I would really like to see him and Cory Clark wrestle. I think Gilman looks bigger than clark. I would take either to be in the black and gold but first choice is Gilman

Another guy for down the road was the 112 lb kid I think Colton Adams? Only a freshman winning his first title easily over a returning champ, and finishing 46-0 for the year
