Iowa's Meyer Named Lou Groza Award "Star of the Week" - Big Ten Conference

Everyone vote for Mike. From article:

Iowa's Mike Meyer was one of five kickers named a "Star of the Week" by*the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award. The Hawkeyes rode the leg of Meyer to a narrow 18-17 victory over Northern Illinois in Chicago on Saturday. The junior kicker connected from 50, 34, 29 and 22 yards to lead the Hawkeyes to their 12th straight season opening win. The Dubuque, Iowa native equaled his career high for field goals made in a game and the 50-yarder matched his career long. Meyer is striving to become the second Iowa kicker to win the Groza, joining 2002 recipient Nate Kaeding who has gone on to a stellar NFL career with the San Diego Chargers. Big Ten players have claimed the Groza Award on two occasions, including Kaeding and Ohio State's Mike Nugent in 2004. I was sure holding my breath on the 50 yarder that was huge.
