He's definitely pretty cool. Takes time to appreciate his fans. I posted my avatar and tagged him in it on Facebook, and it didn't take long before he sent me an e-mail thanking me, and telling me he appreciated the time it had to take to draw it. He offered to sign a copy of it as well. Very cool guy.

Yeah, I remember when I was taking a ton of pics back in the 2006 season and posting them on FB. DJK was actually a freshman back then (wore #9, I believe). Anyhow, I had a lot of the players actually add me for the pics, and DJK was one of them. This was way before he was "DJK." Hell, he was redshirting. But he has dropped me messages from time-to-time with comments and thank yous for the pics. He has continued to do it ever since. Overall, a great guy from what I can tell. He is definitely a little "Hollywood," but I love it.

I agree with that, no doubt. He's not the over the top, "me, me, me" guy. He just gives the team that right amount of flavor compared to the typical attitude around the program.
